Train
Ferrara is positioned on the main road between Bologna and Venice; hence, it is conveniently accessed by train. Train connections are very convenient from both of the cities. There are 33 trains running from Bologna to Ferrara. The journey takes only 40 minutes. The same number of trains runs from Venice to Ferrara. The trip takes approximately an hour and a half. Convenient train connections are also available from Ravena.
Bus
Convenient bus connections are available from Modena. Every day there are 11 buses running to Ferrara. The journey takes around 2 hours.
Car
Arriving from Bologna, get on A13 north and follow the sings' directions. If you are arriving from Venice use A4 southwest to Padua, then get on A13 south, and follow the signs' directions.
